From the Archives: Day 1

Here’s the first image From the Archives: Hasselblad 500c with Ilford HP5 medium format film, the only black/white film I really ever shot. This image brings me a lot of joy. I can feel the warm water of the Provincetown bay. I worked in Truro for many summers as a cook starting at age 18(?), and whenever I wasn’t working I’d be photographing at the beaches. It became impossible to go Cape Cod and not photograph the beaches. The calmness and balance of this image is soothing, and the reflection of clouds in the sky w that beautiful row boat right in the center. I’ve never printed this image but now I certainly want to. This would make a really beautiful large piece. If anyone is interested in purchasing a print of this (or any other images) during our quarantine please let me know. Artists could all use the support right now, and I’d love to share the work with you.
