You

There’s a deeper level to your relationship with your dog—you’re in love.

Your dog has made an enduring impact on your life and your heart that will never fade. You’re ready to capture that with artwork that’s authentic and beautiful, because this creature deserves nothing less. Fast and cheap is not your style. You're looking for an experienced artist you can trust and work alongside. Whether your dog's a lanky adolescent or is getting on in years, you’re ready to freeze a moment in time so you can look back on it forever and feel relieved that you did.

The connection you’ve made with your dog defines you, and you want to commemorate it for years to come. If this sounds like you, you’ve come to the right place.

In this age of instant digital gratification, Jesse’s work stands alone to remind us of the time when pet portraits demanded a love for the subject and a dedication to doing it the right way, with the right equipment. In the hands of this inspired photographer, that time is here again.

Jesse

"I’ve always been fascinated with documenting the human/animal bond, and seeing that bond in action time and time again is deeply moving to me. The trust and affection our dogs give us—and the comfort that comes from that—is unlike anything else in the human experience.

It’s an honor and a pleasure for me to witness how dogs enrich our lives, and I take pride in celebrating each and every one of my subjects in a truly genuine and personal way.

Even when a photograph shows only your dog, it is a reflection of the relationship you share. It’s my goal to accurately, beautifully capture a chapter in the story of your long loving relationship.

My approach to photography is rooted in the principles of authenticity, quality and honesty. I approach my work as a storyteller, not just as a photographer, so I can see and share all that’s wrapped up between you and your best friend without saying a single word.

Our animals are so much a part of us; getting to the heart of that with an image is everything."

It took us years to find the right photographer to document our family. We were looking for an artist who would understand our connection to our dogs and translate that into to beautiful, elegant photographs. We’ve worked with Jesse a few times now, and are so thankful to have connected with him. His photographs dress our walls with art that is deeply meaningful and truly celebrates who we are. Every day I see these beautiful images and get to re-live the memories, emotion and love. They’ll always remind me how much our dogs and son enrich our lives.

Pancake

This is one heck of a dog.

I brought Pancake into my world ten years ago when he was just two months old and could fit in the palm of my hand, and we've been inseparable ever since. He's my sidekick—the first dog I've ever had the pleasure of sharing my life with—and it's been an incredible journey growing and learning together, teaching each other, relying on each other and sharing everything. Except the driving—I do that on my own.

Pancake is in his golden years, and I know he won’t be around forever. The portraits I have of him give me incredible joy and relief, knowing that his spirit and memories will never be absent from my life even when he moves on. This is something I share with many of my clients, and a large reason commissions begin.

Though our cherished companions stay with us for a short moment in time, their love and spirit lives for eternity within the portraits we create.
