Holiday Polaroid Photobooth for Dogs

This weekend I set up my "Instant Doggie Photobooth" at the Teahouse Studios Holiday Art Fair (I like to think it's the only polaroid photobooth for dogs in the world- but who can know if that's factually true). Though I'm typically against doing 'holiday photos,' I decided to give the doggie photobooth a holiday flair with a simple, fresh, wonderfully smelling pine garland. It was my first time even using a garland, so I certainly lost a few pine needles in the process. But with the addition of a handful of sparkling ornaments, the decoration acheived a simple sense of christmas nostalgia that really felt good. My goal in creating this holiday set was to keep with the analog feel of the hand-made polaroid portraits- I used my favorite vintage hand-painted canvas back drop, a vintage felt arm chair (in miniature size), and the incredibly simple texture and color of the garland. For a person who's never celebrated Christmas, I think the "Holiday Instant Doggie Photobooth" turned out pretty well. And we even got some dogs in costume.

DON'T FORGET: I'll be doing my VERY LAST Holiday Photobooth this Sunday Dec 9th at K9 Scrub Club in Noe Valley. Appointments are neccesary, so please call ahead:

This was my wonderful assistant, Kadison. She did a great job helping me the with ornaments and testing out the booth. Also, she drew me a picture of a dog. She's hired.
